Good morning everyone and happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and took time for self and loved ones.
As we begin another week, I wanted to share five steps to mental wellbeing that I have read years ago and try to follow:
-CONNECT: connect with positive people around you. Family, friends, etc. Spend time on developing and growing those relationships and let go of the ones that aren’t contributing to your life in a positive way.
-BE ACTIVE: you don’t have to go to the gym to be active. Go for a walk, do an activity that makes your body move and incorporate it in your daily routine. If one activity starts to get boring, switch it up.
-KEEP LEARNING: It is NEVER too late to try or learn something new. It actually builds confidence and gives you a sense of achievement.
-GIVE TO OTHERS: For me personally, nothing is more fulfilling than helping another. By giving to others you could be adding to their lives as well as your own. Even just a small act of kindness can go a long way.
-BE MINDFUL: Be aware of what your mind, body, and spirit is telling you. Mindfulness can positively change the way you feel about life as well as how you may approach things.
